This data set includes the data used for the study titled "Biomechanical strategies underlying the robust body armour of an aposematic weevil", which is submitted to the journal "Frontiers in Physiology". In this data set, one can find the results of nanoindentation, compression test, measurements on the insect cuticle, r script and files for statistical analysis, and the supplementary files (FEM models, movies).
