资源简介:
The Asian Barometer Study (Australia) is the Australian component of the Asian Barometer Study, which is in turn part of the Global Barometer Surveys (GBS), the world's most comprehensive study of social, political, and economic attitudes.
This study is the first time that the Asian Barometer – in collaboration with universities across Australia and internationally – has been conducted in Australia.
The study is funded by the Australian National University and data collection is being carried out by the Social Research Centre.
The GBS is a collaborative research project consisting of six regional barometers. It is the first comprehensive effort to measure the current social, political, and economic climate around the world. It provides an independent, scientific, and multidisciplinary view of public opinion on a range of policy-relevant issues. Currently, the GBS network currently is conducted in 93 countries, with covers 70% of the world’s population and is still expanding.
In each country, the same questions are asked (in a range of languages) to compare views on democracy, governance, work, political participation, and general social activity.
