Model data in support of the "Interannual variability of convection" J. Clim. manuscript (2025)

This dataset contains model output data from the E3SMv2.1-Arctic 5-member ensemble historical simulations performed by the HiLAT team in 2023, which is part of a manuscript titled "Interannual variability of deep convection in the Nordic Seas from an ensemble of Earth system model historical simulations" by Veneziani, Seefedlt, and Cassano. This manuscript was submitted for review to the Journal of Climate in June 2025. Specifically, the data set contains 1) the ocean field composites associated with high and low convection in the Greenland/Iceland Seas and the Norwegian Sea; 2) the oceanic time series for the Nordic Seas region that are analyzed in the paper; and 3) the data needed to compute the SOM patterns described in the paper.
