Funding value secured by fintech startups in South Africa 2015-2022

As of May 23, 2022, fintech startups in South Africa secured close to 77 million U.S. dollars in funding. In 2021, South African fintech startups were able to secure almost 206 million U.S. dollars. Compared to the previous year, this was a significant increase from around 37 million U.S. dollars. Moreover, South African tech startups managed to aggregate over 336 million U.S. dollars in funding in 2022.
