Data from the Macaulay Land Use Research Institute's grassland extensification experiments

Datasets from the Macaulay Land Use Research Institute’s grassland extensification experiments Two experiments on the impacts of extensifying management on rye-grass and clover grasslands were carried out from 1990 to 2005. The experiments manipulated sward height and fertiliser inputs, and included abandonment of management. Measured variables include grazing days, vegetation biomass and composition and changes in soil carbon. Literature trait values were used to assess impacts on functional composition.
