Under the Cultivation Advances Act 1932, the Board of Land and Works or the Closer Settlement Board were responsible for determining the outcome of applications for cultivation advances. The membership of the Cultivation Advances Board as formed was the Secretary of the Department of Crown Lands and Survey (VA 538), the Accountant and the the Secretary of the Closer Settlement Board (VA 2266).Minutes give details of applications and of the decisions made regarding them.
