Alps_Seasonal_Rhizosphere

Seasonal sampling of rhizosphere microbial communities from the Austrian Alps. Root and bulk soil samples were collected during 2022 (spring, summer, autumn) and 2023 (winter) of 8 different plant species occurring along an elevation gradient of 2200 - 2800 m.a.s.l. Bacterial (16S rRNA gene) and Fungal (ITS2 region) communities were sequenced at the University of Chicago, Illinois, USA.
