资源简介:
This dataset represents a compilation of total suspended solid (TSS) concentrations (in mg/L) and watershed yields (in mg/s/km2) for streams draining watersheds that are, and are not, affected by permafrost thaw slumps on the Peel Plateau, Northwest Territories, Canada. Data were used to prepare Figure 7e for a manuscript to be submitted to Cryosphere Discussions. The data citation will be updated upon submission of the manuscript. The figure in question plots TSS yields (in mg/km2/s) against watershed size (in km2), to show differences in sediment yield between slump-affected and unaffected watersheds. The overall purpose of the manuscript that these data contribute to is to:A) document three dimensional slump enlargement and thaw-related mechanisms that drive connections between permafrost thaw slumps and valley bottom streams; B) explore the patterns of thermokarst intensification across watershed scales; and C) project the propagation of the effects of slumping through hydrological networks that drain the continuous permafrost region of northwestern Canada.
