Dataset includes:(1) The best track data of typhoons crossing the South China Sea during 2012 and 2013. Original data is from China Meteorological Administration tropical cyclone database (http://tcdata.typhoon.org.cn/en/index.html) .(2) The observed wind and wave data at two mooring stations on the SCS continental shelf during four typhoon events. Original data is from the South China Sea Marine Surveying and Technology Center, State Ocean.
