Five column samples recovered from midden deposits at prehistoric site CA-PLA-668 in
north-central California were examined for macrofloral remains. This site contained bedrock
mortars, suggesting a Late Period occupation post-dating approximately 2,000 BP. Macrofloral
analysis of the midden deposits will be used to provide information concerning plant resources
utilized by the site occupants.
