Baltimore county kaleidoscope, video tape

A broadcast of the Baltimore Police Department's involvement in the community through its community-oriented policing program, Citizen Oriented Police Enforcement (COPE) Unit. The broadcast sheds light on many of the challenges facing Baltimore's policing program, and discusses the program's merits and drawbacks. PART OF SERIES: This series is comprised of video and audio cassette tapes related to the media's coverage of the 1992 Los Angeles riots. Included are broadcasts released during and after the civil unrest. Major topics include the root causes of the riots, short and long-term effects of the violence, the nature of hte violence, and hte reactions of public officials, police personnel, community members, and the general public.
