资源简介:
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a highly lethal and widespread malignancy, accounting for 1.8million newly diagnosed cases and approximately 881,000 deaths worldwide in 2018. It is alsopredicted that there will be a substantial increase in the incidence rate by the year 2035, with anestimated 2.5 million new cases annually. Therefore, this topic has recently garnered significantattention due to its elevated level of importance. However, despite recent advancements ininnovative therapeutic approaches, the poor prognosis and delayed identification of CRCcontinue to pose significant challenges. It has been proposed that gut microbiota significantlyimpact the development of new strategies for detecting and treating CRC. While most of theprevious studies tried to evaluate the bacteriome of CRC patients, some of them used fecalsamples which were concluded not to be indicators of the TMEs. Moreover, it is imperative toassess and compare microbiota derived from healthy individuals, concurrently with adenomatouspolyps (pre-cancerous), and CRC (cancerous) patients. Considering the preceding information,we aimed to investigate the bacteriome in the intestinal tissues of adenomatous polyp and CRCpatients with non-cancerous individuals.
