资源简介:

Fashion Fictions, founded by Amy Twigger Holroyd in 2020, brings people together to generate, experience and reflect on engaging fictional visions of sustainable fashion systems as an unconventional route to real-world change. The project is structured in three stages. At Stage 1, we create 100-word outlines of fictional fashion cultures and systems, known as ‘worlds’ at Stage 2 we build on these outlines, generating visual and material prototypes known as ‘explorations’ at Stage 3 we find ways to enact and experience the prototyped worlds, in activities known as ‘enactments’. Although the speculative nature of the project implicitly points to future possibilities, the framework for speculation is based on ‘speculating sideways’ into an endless array of contemporary realities in parallel worlds, described as ‘parallel presents’. The project invites participants to generate positive and enticing worlds, in terms of individual satisfaction, social justice and sustainability, and to explore worlds that are physically possible, but push beyond what feels plausible today – understanding plausibility as a socially constructed sense of what is possible. This dataset was generated via four Stage 2 prototyping workshops and four Stage 3 enactments that were organised by Amy Twigger Holroyd in 2021 and 2022, as part of a Research, Development and Engagement Fellowship funded by the UK’s Arts & Humanities Research Council. The dataset was compiled by Amy Twigger Holroyd, with support during the development stage from Matilda Aspinall. The dataset captures participants’ experiences as they explore specific fictional worlds that had been generated by Stage 1 contributors. Please place a request, including details of your research status, if you wish to access the data. -------------------------------- The dataset is organised in two main folders: 1 FFW Stage 2 workshops Within this folder is a pdf that provides context for the Stage 2 workshops and a guide to the data within the folder: FFW_Stage_2_workshops_context_and_data_guide.pdf Plus four sub-folders, one for each workshop: FFW_1_2021_Nov FFW_2_2021_Dec FFW_3_2022_MarA FFW_4_2022_MarB Within each sub-folder there is: a Workshop Story pdf document (e.g. FFW_1_2021_Nov_Workshop_story.pdf). a sub-sub-folder of World Stories (e.g. FFW_1_2021_Nov_World_stories). Each World Story is a pdf document (e.g. FFW_1_2021_Nov_World19_ExpA_World_story.pdf). In two of the four sub-folders there is also a Media folder (e.g. FFW_2_2021_Dec_Media) containing video and audio files that are referenced in the World Stories. 2 FFW Stage 3 enactments Within this folder is a pdf that provides context for the Stage 3 enactments and a guide to the data within the folder: FFE_Stage_3_enactments_context_and_data_guide.pdf Plus four sub-folders, one for each enactment: FFE_1_2022_World91_Eni FFE_2_2022_World54_Eni FFE_3_2022_World62_Eni FFE_4_2022_World27_Eni Within each sub-folder there is: a Context and Data Guide pdf document (e.g. FFE_1_2022_World91_Eni_context_and_data_guide.pdf) that provides context for the enactment and a guide to the data within the sub-folder. between 3 and 5 sub-sub-folders containing data of various types (e.g. FFE_1_2022_World91_Eni_Weekly_chat), determined by the nature of the enactment.
