资源简介:
In order to better treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), there is a need for therapies that target underlying vascular remodelling that drives disease progression. In this thesis, formyl peptide receptor (FPR) agonists were explored as a potential anti-remodelling and vasodilator therapy for PAH. To do this, a multifactorial model of PAH in precision-cut lung slices was developed, which was characterised by inflammation, remodelling markers and artery thickening. In this setting, two novel FPR agonists elicit effective multi-action functions by inhibiting inflammation, vasoconstriction and artery thickening.
