The lack of access to informal and formal credit by micro and small entrepreneurs specially the women has been identified by numerous studies as a major constraint. Thus, women,
microfinance and micro entrepreneurship make an attractive combination for the governments of the less developed countries for formulation of combined strategies in future towards achieving gender equality and poverty alleviation.
