Results of analysis of variance (ANOVA) of the mean squared data reconstruction errors.

The ANOVA was performed the factors "fraction" and "number of trials" of the mean squared errors of the reconstruction of the remaining data from the downsampled data. Depending on the size of the data sets, class-proportional uniformly distributed random samples of, e.g., 0.001, 0.01, 0.1, 1, 5, 10, 25, and 50% of the original data were drawn (Fig 2). The experiments were performed in 20 replicates, each stating at a different and non-redundant seed.
