Galapagos Snapper Tracking Data and Hydrophone Location

During 2013 and 2014, 20 pacific dog snapper were collected and acoustically tagged in two mangrove creeks on the southern side of Isla Isabella in the Galapagos archipelago. Dog snapper were tracked using 12 acoustic receivers haphazardly placed throughout the two creeks from June of 2013 to March of 2014. Additionally, two HOBO environmental loggers were placed in each creek along with 1 pressure logger used to measure salinity, temperature, and water level associated with tidal shifts. Of the twenty dog snapper tagged all of which were detected in the creek that they were tagged, 16 (80%) remained for the duration of the study. <br>The data presented herein are individual detections in east creek and west creek with environmental conditions from each HOBO and water level sensor. Measurements were inferred as the distance to the creek mouth measured to receivers and areas of receiver detection overlap. <br><br>To infer distance to mouth, we used areas of receiver detection overlap. We have included the .csv of the combination of receiver overlap and their corresponding distance from the creek mouth.<br>
