HIV-1 5'-Leader Mutations in Plasma Viruses Before and After the Development of Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitor-Resistance Mutations

This study aims to investigate HIV-1 resistance patterns in individuals undergoing genotypic resistance tests and analyze cryopreserved remnant plasma samples for the presence of M184V/I, NNRTI resistance mutations, and control groups. The 5'-leader region of HIV-1 RNA is amplified and analyzed by high-throughput sequencing using Illumina MiSeq to uncover genetic variations associated with drug resistance.
