Commented code gives data processing steps using intermediate data files. \"speciesdata.csv\" contains data for the first listing regression, \"spendingdata.csv\" contains data for the spending regression. speciesdata.csv contains species endangerment for species in North America from NatureServe, merged with Google Ngrams and ESA listing status. spendingdata.csv contains ESA species-level conservation spending on listed species, with 5 year lagged rolling Google Ngrams, and other USFWS covariate data.
