A metagenomic investigation was conducted on a mixed microbial consortium capable of degrading chlorinated paraffins (CPs), with the aim of elucidating the community composition, functional gene architecture, and catabolic pathways involved in the dechlorination and carbon skeleton breakdown of these persistent and bioaccumulative industrial pollutants.
