Whole Genome Sequencing of Vigna marina subsp. marina. Vigna marina subsp. marina

The genomic analysis and genetic relationship of Vigna marina a wild legumes is important for characterization and utilization in pulse breeding programme to improve the cultivated species against abiotic stresses. In addition, very limited reports are available on the genomic studies of this potential wild legume. The present study provide new insights into the beachpea (Vigna marina) genome, and its availability would not only facilitate to identify the source of gene for utilization in further improvement programme of salt tolerance and drought resistant cultivars, but also foster the application translational genomics in mungbean, urdbean and cowpea improvement.
