This dataset and code repository accompanies the article: 'Qualitative and quantitative assessment of ex vivo human brain tumors using quantitative oblique back-illumination microscopy (qOBM)" written by Bharadwaj et al. It contains 240 μm x 240 μm pixel qOBM images from ex vivo brain tumor, formatted at .tif files. Three glial brain tumor types are included -- glioblastoma, astrocytoma, and oligodendroglioma across Grades 2, 3, and 4. Files are accordingly compressed by type. Dates of data acquisition range from 2020-2025. This dataset has been curated for "diagnostically relevant" features, i.e. cell nuclei, from larger acquired datasets. These data were further patchified into 120 μm x 120 μm pixel images prior to feature extraction. These data were acquired with proprietary qOBM benchtop system developed by the Robles Lab. All data were acquired with a Nikon 60X Objective, S Plan Fluor ELWD, and the pixel size for these data is 0.138 μm/px. A README.md file within the "CodeForPub" folder contains further details about the code included in this repository.
