Major typhoons and windstorms in Japan 2024, by insurance claims paid

As of March 2024, Typhoon Jebi had caused the largest amount of insurance claims paid for typhoons and windstorms in Japan, with the total sum of insurance claims paid amounting to around 1.07 trillion Japanese yen. Typhoon Jebi was one of the strongest typhoons to hit Japan and caused severe damage in the Kansai region in September 2018.
