Integrated Global Dataset on Aerosol-Transmitted Infectious Diseases and Associated Demographic, Socioeconomic and Health System Indicators (2000–2023)

This dataset provides epidemiological, demographic, socioeconomic, and health system healthcare-related information on aerosol-transmitted infectious diseases at the country level. The data was collected from publicly available sources such as the WHO Global Health Observatory, the IHME Global Burden of Disease database, United Nations population datasets, and World Bank Open Data. It provides incidence, prevalence, and mortality rates (per 10,000 inhabitants) for COVID-19, lower respiratory infections (LRI), measles, tuberculosis, and upper respiratory infections (URI) and contextual indicators like GDP per capita, unemployment rates, income inequality, education levels, population density, healthcare resources, healthcare expenditure, and the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) index.
