DEVELOPMENT OF AN AUTOMATIC CONTROL SYSTEM FOR PACKAGING OF MUNG BEAN

Among legumes, mung bean (Vigna radiata L.) has become a strategic export product for Uzbekistan. According to the Statistics Agency, in the first eight months of 2022, 59.0 thousand tons of mung bean (45 million USD) were exported to 23 countries, of which 47.9 thousand tons were to China [1]. In January-November 2024, the export volume reached 106.6 thousand tons, worth 85.5 million USD [2], and in the first half of 2025, 32.86 thousand tons of mung bean were sold for 30.0 million USD (average price 0.91 USD/kg) [3]. According to a report by the US Department of Agriculture, Uzbekistan is the second largest supplier of mung bean imports to China after Myanmar (121.4 thousand tons in the 2023/24 marketing year) [4].
