This study aims to investigate the global transcriptional changes induced by silencing of the DcMYB5 gene in Dioscorea composita using RNA sequencing. By comparing the transcriptomic profiles of DcMYB5-silenced plants and control plants, this dataset is intended to identify differentially expressed genes and biological pathways potentially regulated by DcMYB5, thereby providing insights into its regulatory role in plant growth, development, and secondary metabolism.The public availability of this transcriptome dataset provides a valuable resource for functional characterization of MYB transcription factors in medicinal plants. It will facilitate downstream analyses such as gene regulatory network construction, functional gene mining, and integrative multi-omics studies, and will contribute to a better understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying growth regulation and bioactive compound biosynthesis in Dioscorea species.
