Integrated fibre spinning

This repository (Integrated fibre spinning) contains spreadsheets used for the study "Sustainable low-cost carbon fibres produced by integrating wood fractionation with lignin fibre spinning".The first spreadsheet (Integrated spinning dope composition calculator) can be used to calculate the concentration and amount of the PVA stock solution needed to generate a target dope composition when a black liquor is used as dope precursor. The lignin and water content of the black liquor needs to be known. The second spreadsheet (Summarised LCA&Cost data) contains the numbers used to generate the two process models and the associated life cycle and techno-economic assessments.
