Genetic evolutionary analysis of emerging pathogenic Chromobacterium haemolyticum isolated from piglets

We have isolated a highly pathogenic strain of Chromobacterium haemolyticus, which causes diarrhea and death in infected piglets. In addition, in order to study the genetic evolution characteristics of Chromobacterium haemolyticus, we did a whole-genome sequencing analysis. it will be helpful to extensively investigate the genetic and molecular mechanisms of drug resistance and pathogenesis about Chromobacterium haemolyticum in both humans and animals.
