This dataset was generated to validate the markerless motion analysis system OpenCap against the gold-standard optical system BTS SMART. The dataset contains a rich set of kinematic and spatiotemporal parameters of human overground gait, collected simultaneously by both systems at three different speeds.Fifteen healthy participants were recruited for the study. The protocol involved walking over an 8-meter walkway at three self-selected speeds (slow, self, and fast). For each speed condition, 5 valid trials were performed, totaling 15 walks per participant. Data from both motion capture systems were recorded synchronously.
