Symbolic-Institutional Alignment Across Global Cities (2010–2024)

This dataset supports the study "Structural Resonance: A Scientific Framework for Evaluating Government Institutions." It integrates symbolic-environmental indicators, institutional signal variables, and socioeconomic outcomes across 10 global cities from 2010 to 2024. The dataset includes:- NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) as a proxy for ecological order- Nightlight intensity as a proxy for visibility and symbolic saturation- PM2.5 concentrations as a proxy for symbolic dissonance- Low-emission zone (LEZ) policy flags- Broadband infrastructure rollout flags- Socioeconomic indicators (population density, income, land value)- A computed Symbolic Resonance Index (SR Index) that quantifies institutional-symbolic alignment All variables are standardized and accompanied by full documentation (Data Dictionary and README). The dataset is designed for use in research on institutional coherence, policy evaluation, spatial economics, and urban governance. Data sources include publicly available satellite data (MODIS, VIIRS, Sentinel-5P) and administrative policy records. The dataset is provided for academic and non-commercial research use under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
