Michigan Public Water Supply Sampling Hexbins and Results

The data includes information on State of Michigan drinking water Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) compliance sampling, including, but not limited to, sample location, sample date, sample results, etc. The units for all drinking water PFAS results are measured in PPT (parts per trillion), equivalent to ng/l. The Drinking Water PFAS Hexbins includes all public water supplies (Community and Nontransient Noncommunity, Type I and Nontransient Type II) PFAS sample result data from August 3, 2020 to the most recent yearly update date. This data is static and has the most recent annual update includes data acquired up to 1/12/2026. August 3, 2020 was the date the State of Michigan regulated the seven PFAS compounds with maximum contaminant levels (MCLs). The seven regulated compounds are HFPO-DA, PFBS, PFHxA, PFHxS, PFNA, PFOA, and PFOS. The PFAS sample results for those seven compounds are listed in this dataset. To view sample results for all tested PFAS compounds for each public water supply, go to the State of Michigan Open Data Portal. The data includes public water supply PFAS sample results through time beginning August 2020 until January 2026.
