Respiratory microbiota in children with severe lower respiratory tract infections.. Bacteria

In this project, the dynamics of the nasopharyngeal, salivary and lower respiratory microbiota in children admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit for severe lower respiratory tract infections are investigated. The project aims to study the effect of intubation and antibiotic treatment on the respiratory microbiota during mechanical ventilation, and recovery of the respiratory microbiota thereafter.
