资源简介:

This article presents a comparative analysis of electronic and printed dictionaries in the process of language learning. In the context of digital transformation and technological advancement, electronic dictionaries have become widely accessible and increasingly popular among language learners. The study examines the advantages and limitations of both dictionary types in terms of accessibility, usability, speed of information retrieval, depth of lexical information, and impact on vocabulary acquisition. Special attention is given to the role of electronic dictionaries in promoting learner autonomy, interactive learning, and pronunciation support, as well as to the cognitive benefits of printed dictionaries in enhancing memory retention and analytical skills. The findings suggest that while electronic dictionaries provide convenience and immediate access to updated lexical data, printed dictionaries contribute to deeper lexical processing and better long-term retention. The study concludes that an integrated use of both electronic and printed dictionaries can significantly enhance language learning effectiveness.
