This study focuses on Thai high school students’ attitudes towards using Quizizz, an online gamified educational application, on English vocabulary learning. The objectives of this study were 1) to explore Thai high school students’ satisfaction towards using Quizizz in English vocabulary learning, 2) to investigate Thai high school students’ perceived advantages and disadvantages in using Quizizz for English vocabulary learning, and 3) to investigate Thai high school students’ suggestions towards the use of Quizizz in English vocabulary learning. The researcher employed a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire and semi-structured interviews to answer the research questions. Altogether, 25 Thai high school students responded to the questionnaire while five students participated in the semi-structured interviews. The findings gained from the questionnaires illustrated that the overall mean score of the students’ satisfaction towards learning vocabulary using Quizziz was 4.58. This score can be interpreted to mean that the students had a very high satisfactory level in using the application. Furthermore, findings from the interviews revealed that participants were satisfied with using the application because learning vocabulary using Quizizz was fun; helped them memorize words more easily; made them feel more enthusiastic about vocabulary learning; and it led them to have positive attitudes towards learning vocabulary. Because of these reasons, they would like to use Quizizz more in the future. Moreover, the findings from the open-ended questionnaire and interviews showed that learning vocabulary using this approach increased their engagement and motivation as well as helped them better concentrate on the lesson. However, the internet signal, the score ranking in this application, and the vocabulary-speaking sounds in this application were considered disadvantages in using this application. Therefore, the students suggested that it would be better if the designers improved the application’s vocabulary-pronunciation sounds, provided a thorough explanation at the end of the vocabulary test, and developed a specific feature that emphasized the practice of spelling.
