RNA regulation by the cell-cell adhesion component PLEKHA7

We have identified PLEKHA7 as a cell-cell adhesion protein that interacts with and regulates RNAi compelxes, miRNAs and mRNAs at adherens junctions of well-differentiated epithelial cells. This study was conducted to identify global effects of PLEKHA7 depletion on total RNA expression in colon epithelial cells Colon epithelial Caco2 cells that stably express either a non-target (NT) shRNA or an shRNA targeting PLEKHA7 (shP7) were lysed and total RNA was extracted and used for deep RNA sequencing.
