RFID adoption in retail 2018-2020, by macro-region

Between 2018 and 2020, European retailers have increased their use of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tagging technologies from 27 to 77 percent. The latest figure for European retailers equaled to the penetration rate of observed in Asia-Pacific countries in 2020, but was well below the rate reported by North-American retailers (93 percent) in the same year.
