Climate indicators for the IRIS 4 region for period 1950-2016

This ensemble of indicator using multi dataset products is a clear improvement and directly helps to fill some of the gaps identified during the previous iteration of the IRIS-4 assessment. The indicators developed here are used to assess the variability and trends for the period from about 1950 to 2016. Trend analysis are presented at regional scale over the decadal period and assessed to the rate of change and to the statistical significance of the observed change. Links are also made possible between large-scale atmospheric modes of variability and the observed regional variability allowing explaining the teleconnections between the large-scale patterns and the regional patterns.
