Freshwater fish microbiota

The aim of our study was to characterised and compare bacterial diversity and microbiota community in external and internal mucosal surfaces of various structures of three co-occurring freshwater fish species. To our knowledge our studies are the first complex insight into microbial characteristic of these common freshwater fish species and its alteration due to the anthropogenic impact on water quality. It also contribute to the overall knowledge how human mediated modification of running water environment influences its natural inhabitants.
