Adena Projectile Point (Catalog # 2004.48.50), a part of the Michigan State University Museum's Archaeology Teaching Collection. This tool, made from chert, dates generally to the Early Woodland period of the Eastern Woodlands of North America and is commonly found within the Ohio River Valley. Made through flintknapping, this tool would have been used as a spear or dart tip, as well as a knife or multi-purpose cutting tool.
