RNAseq of Brassica napus cotyledons following L. maculans-inoculation

Leptosphaeria maculans is a highly specialized hemibiotrophic fungus, causing the blackleg disease in oilseed rape (Brassica napus). An evolutionary arms race between resistance (R) genes and their cognate avirulence (Avr) genes governs the B. napus-L. maculans interaction. Here, we provide raw RNAseq data of rapeseed inoculated with L. maculans (AvrLm7). Data was generated from inoculated cotyledons of a Rlm7-donor (Bn1) and a susceptible genotype (Bn4) at 3, 7 and 11 days post inoculation (dpi) with L. maculans. The data provides novel insights into the Rlm7-dependent gene regulation in rapeseed and is an important dataset for researchers interested in this molecular plant-pathogen interaction.
