Genomic characterization and phylogenetic analysis of linezolid-resistant enterococci strains in healthy animals and a pig-farmer in Spain

Linezolid resistance is a critically important global health issue. Here, were investigated the genomic characteristics and phylogenetic relatedness of linezolid-resistant enterococci (LRE) carrying optrA, cfr or poxtA genes from a collection of enterococci previously obtained from the nares of healthy dogs, pigs, pig-farmers and tracheal of stork nestlings in Spain.
