资源简介:
Hoplias malabaricus (trahira) is a predatory Central and South American freshwater ray-finned fish of the characiform family Erythrinidae. Like other members of the genus Hoplias, this species has a cylindrical body shape with a large mouth equipped with prominent teeth (from Wikipedia entry). This genome is from a male in Represa do Rio Monjolinho in Sao Paulo, Brazil, coordinated by Marcelo de Bello Cioffi at the Universidade Federal de Sao Carlos, and used to generate a high-quality reference genome for the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). Sequencing and genome assembly were conducted at the Vertebrate Genomes Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, led by Olivier Fedrigo and Erich D. Jarvis.
