Effect of tDCS, TENS and neural mobilization on pain in patients with lumbar radicular pain.

Radiating pain in Lumbar Radiculopathy (LR) is often considered as peripheral pain but its chronicity makes it perceive at central level as well. Besides pain, impairments in physical and psychological aspect of Quality of Life (QOL) along with the muscle recruitment are frequently associated with LR. Previous literature explained the effect of Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) & Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) on radicular pain. Hence, the proposed study scrutinized whether the neuromodulatory treatment program can outperform conventional treatment in terms of muscle recruitment, pain relief, and QOL.
