al-Battani: Opus Astronomicum / Kitab al-Zij, Source Witness, Working Text Reader, and Table Reconstructions

Work-level record for al-Battānī's Opus Astronomicum / Kitāb al-Zīj. Earlier versions of this same Zenodo concept foregrounded the fixed-star catalogue; this version gathers the al-Battānī work package in one place without creating a second DOI for the same work. Important correction: the generated trilingual text reader is a working layout/audit draft, not a finished canonical edition. The current 251-page reader represents the 100 body-text segments as Arabic source with English and Chinese translations and appends current catalogue/geography/chronology layers, but the text stream still requires full audit against Nallino and the auxiliary tables are not yet a professionally integrated critical edition. The reader is therefore preserved as a working artifact rather than presented as the final reader. The reliable current files include the Nallino source witness, Nallino Pars I-III table witness, the canonical v083 TeX/data/report package, a table reference supplement, the complete fixed-star catalogue, the complete geographical gazetteer, the partial chronology / Canon of Kings layer, a Claude source/data/workflow package preserving the scripts and working files used for the table reconstruction, and a compact latest-notes package preserving the most recent Claude completion/lessons notes. Table status is stated explicitly. The fixed-star catalogue is complete at the current working-edition level: 485 numbered star rows across 47 Ptolemaic figures, with ecliptic longitude and latitude values, north/south signs, magnitudes, modern identification fields, and the documented Escorial-codex lacuna shown in place. The geography gazetteer is complete with 269 locality entries. The chronology layer is useful but partial; ancient regnal-year figures remain flagged for collation. Zodiac / terms / houses auxiliary tables are not cleanly tabulated in Nallino's Latin volume and are not fabricated here.
