资源简介:
This research assessed the acceptability of PVR among postpartum women in sub-Saharan Africa. It was conducted as part of pre-introduction efforts aimed at expanding the method choice and reducing unmet need for contraception during the postpartum period. The primary objectives of the study were to assess factors influencing: acceptability and perceptions of the PVR by women; providers’ knowledge and attitudes about the PVR and its use; community members’ perceptions about the PVR; and method choice and attitudes about the PVR by non-PVR users. The study used a prospective design involving follow-up of postpartum women recruited over a period of six months or up to the time of discontinuing PVR use. Data collection involved structured face-to-face interviews at the time of recruitment, and at three and six months of follow-up or at the time discontinuation. This particular dataset presents information collected from 60 postpartum women in Kenya at the time of recruitment.
