To further validate the protective mechanism of TFF2 in influenza infection, we used whole genome microarray expression profiling as a discovery platform to screen and identify differentially expressed genes in host immune response. The results indicate that TFF2 downregulates the expression of NF kB signaling pathway related genes and inflammatory cytokine genes. 6-8 week-old female C57/BL6 mice were given TFF2 protein via aerosol inhalation 2 hours before infection, and then infected with H7N9 virus. TFF2 protein was administered again 1 and 3 days after infection. On the 1st, 3rd, and 7th day after infection, mouse lung tissues were collected and RNA was extracted. After mixing total RNA of three mice in each group, transcriptome microarray analysis was performed.
