A point sampling methodology was employed using imagery available through
Google Earth Pro to assess land cover changes in Buffalo, NY, Denver, CO,
and San Diego, CA. Analysis began during the Great Recession and concluded
in 2018. Point sampling was used to classify land cover using 11 land
cover classes. Further, point pattern analysis was employed to determine
the existance (or lack thereof) of patterns associated with land cover
change in each city.
