Malaria cases reported in Peru 2007-2022

In 2022, the number of reported malaria infections in Peru amounted to 27,025 cases, up from 18,075 infections notified a year earlier. This signifies an increase of almost 50 percent in comparison to 2021. The highest number of malaria cases reported in the South American country reached over 65,000 in 2014. As of the last year depicted, Peru was one of the countries in Latin America with the highest number of malaria cases.
