Microbiota in fecal samples of non-IgE cow´s milk protein allergy infants under restriction diet

Cow´s milk protein (CMP) is the main cause of food allergy in the first year of life. Nowadays, a wide number of articles highlight the importance of the correct establishment/development of gut microbiota in early life and its impact in allergic diseases, including food allergy. This work examined the intestinal microbiota composition and related parameters in fecal samples of non-IgE mediated cow`s milk protein allergy (CMPA) infants and establish potential links with the type of protein hydrolyzed formula and tolerance acquisition.
