资源简介:
The microbial communities present in the soil around plant roots play a vital role in supporting plant growth and nutrient uptake. The use of fertilizers can have a significant impact on these communities, affecting plant performance. A recent study examined the effects of two different sources of silicon, K-silicate and Na-silicate, on the microbial communities in the bulk soil and the rhizosphere of sugarcane. The results showed that the application of silicon had different effects on the microbial communities in the bulk soil and rhizosphere. The use of Na-silicate had a more significant effect on the microbial community, promoting the growth of Proteobacteria and Bacteroidetes, while K-silicate promoted the enrichment of Chloroflexi and Acidobacteriota. The findings of this study highlight the importance of understanding the impact of agricultural practices on microbial communities to enhance plant growth, productivity, and sustainability.
